Bangladesh Sampadak Forum, led by Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former Media Adviser to the Prime Minister and Editor of the Daily Observer, paid tributes to the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Tuesday afternoon.
Members of the Bangladesh Sampadak Forum placed wreaths and offered fateha seeking eternal peace of the departed soul at the Bangabandhu's mausoleum.
'Bangladesh Sampadak Forum' has been formed with a view to resolving the existing crises prevailing in the country's newspaper industry and upholding the standard of the profession of journalism. The objectives of the newly-formed Forum will be strengthening the mass media to move Bangladesh forward being imbued with the spirit of the War of Liberation, non-communalism and democracy.
Besides, the Forum will work for safeguarding the interest of mass media, using journalism for protecting democracy, upholding the freedom of opinion and development of the country.

Besides, more than 50 editors of different dailies published from Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Barishal and Mymensingh paid tributes to the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation.
Correspondents of different newspapers and electronic media of Gopalganj and Tungipara were also present.
