Arrested man placed on 5-day remand
A Satkhira court on Sunday placed Raihanul Islam Raihan on a five-day remand in a case filed over the murder of his brother Shahinur Rahman and his wife and two children Kalaroa upazila.
The district's Senior Judicial Magistrate Yasmin Nahar passed the order after hearing on a remand petition.
Earlier on Thursday, CID inspector Tariqul Islam, also the investigation officer of the case, placed Raihan before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested Raihanul on Friday. Later, he was shown arrested in the murder case.
Police recovered throat-slit bodies of hatchery owner Shahinur Rahman, 40, his wife Sabina Khatun, 30, son Siam Hossain Mahi, 9, and daughter Tasnim, 6, from their house at village Khulshu under Kalaroa upazila district in the morning on October 15.
Slain Shahinur Rahman's mother-in-law Moyna Begum filed a murder case with Kalaroa police.
