BNP agents 'driven out of polling stations': Salauddin Ahmed

Dhaka-5 BNP nominated candidate Salauddin Ahmed has alleged that 95 per cent of their agents have been forced out of polling centres.

He came out with the allegation after visiting Jatrabari Ideal School and College polling station on Saturday morning.

"No fair election has yet been held. So, I think, today's one will not be a fair election. Our agents have been driven out from most of polling centres. But, I will see till the last and also wait for the last," Salauddin Ahmed said.

By-elections in two parliamentary constituencies--Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6-- began at 9am.

The Dhaka-5 fell vacant following the death of Awami League MP Habibur Rahman Mollah on May 6 while the Nagaon-6 following the death of MP Israfil Alam on July 27.
