Man electrocuted in Kurigram

A man died of electrocution at Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district on Tuesday afternoon.

Deceased Hamidul Islam, 27, was the son of late Afzal Hossain, a resident of Shyampura village in Kashipur union under the upazila.

Locals said he was electrocuted when he was connecting the line the electric motor to the electricity, leaving him critically injured.

He died on the way to Nageshwari Upazila Health Complex.

Phulbari Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Razib Kumar Rai confirmed the matter.
