Housewife’s body found in Laxmipur

Police on Sunday recovered the hanging body of a housewife from Laxmipur’s Raipur upazila.

The deceased was identified as Kulsuma Begum, 28, wife of Md Mijan, a resident of Charbangshi UP in the upazila.

Family members found the hanging body in the morning and informed police.

Raipur Hajimara Police Outpost in-charge said police have detained the deceased’s husband for interrogation.

Monir Hossain, brother of the deceased, alleged that his brother-in-law often tortured his sister over silly matter.
