Voting in Pabna-4 by-elections ends

Voting in Pabna-4 by-elections ends

Voting in the by-elections to Pabna-4 constituency ended on Saturday afternoon without any report of violence.

Voting started at 9.00 am in 129 centres of the constituency and ended at 5.00pm.

BNP backed-candidate Habibur Rahman Habib has demanded the cancellation of by-polls bringing allegation of irregularities.

Now, the counting has begun.

The total number of voters in the constituency were 3,81,112. Of them, 1,91,697 were male voters while the rest 1,89,415 were female. The constituency fell vacant after the death of Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu, former land minister and the member of parliament of the constituency.
