Ghoraghat UNO Waheeda Khanam, who was severely injured in an attack by miscreants at her official residence, has been made an officer on special duty (OSD).
The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on September 16.
According to the notification Waheeda was transferred to Public Administration Ministry while her husband Pirganj UNO Md Mejbaul Hossain promoted as the senior assistant secretary of Health Services Division.
On September 3, miscreants stormed duckbunglow of Ghoraghat UNO Waheeda Khanam around 3am breaking the window grills.
After entering the house, the gang hacked and hit Waheeda, 35, and her father Omar Ali, leaving them critically injured.
Waheeda is now receiving treatment at Neuro surgeon at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital, Dhaka.
