Allama Shafi's body taken to Hathazari Madrasa

The body of Hefazat-e Islam ameer Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi was taken to Chattogram's Hathazari Madrasaon from Dhaka Saturday morning.
An ambulance, carrying the body of 105-year-old spiritual leader, left Faridabad Madrasa at Gandaria in the capital around 4am and reached on the Hathazari Madrasa premises at 9:30am.
Hundreds of people have been thronging at the madrasa from different parts of the country to attend the namaj-e-janaza for the Hefajat-e Islam ameer.
Allama Shafi died at about 6:20pm on Friday while undergoing treatment at Asgar Ali Hospital, Gendaria in Dhaka. Later, his body was taken to Faridabad Madrasa at night where it was kept for several hours.
According to Shura Committee's decision, the janaza will be held on the madrasa ground after Zuhr prayers. Later, he will be buried at the madrasa's graveyard.
Moulana Anas Madani, who has just been expelled from the Hathazari Madrasa, said, "His father advocated for a single janaza throughout his life, because Quran and Hadith support it. So, only one janaza of my father will be held. According to his last wishes, my father will be buried at Hathazari Madrasa graveyard."
