The maximum age-limit for entry into government jobs has been raised by five months from existing 30 years to recoup the losses faced by job-seekers due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Those who turned 30 on March 25 last can also apply for government jobs, said State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Tuesday.
He said the government job-seekers have been given the scope at the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The state minister said the ministries that could not publish job circulars in April, May, June, July and August are now seeking applications. “In that case, the job-seekers will have to be 30 years on March 25 last.”

He also said the special facility will be in force till August.

The Public Administration Ministry earlier sent a proposal to the Prime Minister in this regard.

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission did not public any job circular for straight 66 days from March 26 during general holidays.
