 Two minors drown in Noakhali Two minor girls drowned in separate incidents at Companiganj upazila in Noakhali district on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as one and a half month-year-old Ria Moni, daughter of Ramjan Ali, and one and a half month-year-old Lamia, daughter of Ripon Mia, residents of the upazila. Ria drowned in a pond in the afternoon when her mother was busy with cooking. She was rushed to local hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead. The relatives, later, recovered Lamia’s floating body. Companiganj Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Md Arifur Rahman confirmed the matter. |
