COVID-19 infected MP Babu brought to Dhaka from Khulna

Md Akhteruzzaman Babu, lawmaker from Khulna-6 constituency (Koyra-Paikgachha), who tested positive for COVID-19, was brought to Dhaka from Khulna on Monday morning by a helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF).

BAF MI-171SH helicopter, carrying the MP, reached Dhaka around 7:30am. Later, he was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU).

Lawmaker Babu, also former organizing secretary of Khulna district unit AL tested coronavirus positive on September 4 and was undergoing treatment at his Tutpara residence in the city.

Bangladesh Air Force has always been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power under BAF in dealing with any kind of national crisis and continuing various activities following the policy published by the government to affirm its commitment to meet all emergency needs in a professional manner.
