COVID-19: 32 deaths, 2,131 fresh cases reported

Bangladesh on Friday reported 32 more deaths and 2,131 fresh cases from coronavirus.
With the new figure, the total number of deaths from the virus now stands at 4,206 and cases 3,08,925.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, on Saturday afternoon.
Health authorities also reported 2,027 more recoveries in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,98,863.
A total of 92 coronavirus testing laboratory collected 11,438 samples and tested 11,689 samples.
Till now, 15.25,815 samples were tested in the country.
During this period, 11,689 samples were tested across the country.
The infection rate is 18.23 per cent in the last 24 hours, compared to the samples tested.
So far, the infection rate is 20.25 percent, the recovery rate is 64.37 per cent and the mortality rate is 1.36 per cent.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
According to Worldometer's COVID-19 data, the deadly virus has killed 8,41,832 people globally and infected 2,49,35,596 as of Saturday afternoon.
