Chuadanga COVID-19 cases rise to 1,225

Eighteen more people contracted COVID-19 in 24 hours in Chuadanga district, taking the total numbers of the virus cases to 1,225 in the district.

Chuadanga civil surgeon Dr ASM  Maruf Hasan confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.

The test results of 46 samples came from PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College Hospital this morning where 18 samples found positive for the virus, said the civil surgeon.

Among them, four are in Sadar, two in Alamdanga, six in Damurhuda and six in jibannagar upazilas.

Some 40 corona patients are undergoing treatment at isolation unit in Chuadanga Sadar Hospital and the rest are in home quarantine, he added.

A total of 712 corona patients recovered from the virus in the district while 28 died in the district.

The first corona patient in the district was reported on March 19 this year.
