ACC quizzing Ex-Health DG Dr Abul Kalam, 4 others

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has started quizzing five officials of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), including its former Director General Dr Abul Kalam Azad, over the scam relating to coronavirus test.
Dr Abul Kalam arrived office of the ACC around 10am and then a team, led by ACC Director Mir Md Joinul Abedin Shibli, started quizzing at 10:30am, its Public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed.
Besides Azad, four other officials are the DGHS's former director Dr Md Aminul Hasan, deputy director Md Yunus Ali, Dr Md Shafiur Rahman and research officer Dr Md Didarul Islam.
On August 6, the anti-graft body sent a letter to the former DG for interrogating him as part of investigation over two allegations relating to mask, PPE issue and Regent Hospital scandal.
