107 women, children raped in July

A total of 107 women and children fell victims to rape while 235 tortured  in the country in July.

A study report published by Bangladesh Mohila Parishad on Tuesday.

The parishad said the report was prepared as per the information collected from 13 national dailies.

According to the report, some 14 women were gangraped during the period while three were killed after rape.

Of the 107 victims, 72 were children.

Three women have been sexually assaulted in the month while five incidents of abduction were reported. Forty-six women and girl children  were killed in various reasons in July.

Fifteen women fell prey to dowry demand. Of them, seven were killed.

Besides, 10 have committed suicide and 18 died mysterious deaths.
