Ireland's Paul Stirling joins the company of Roy Frerdericks, Majid Khan, Greg Chappell, Mark Greatbatch, Marvan Atapattu, Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, and Tamim Iqbal, who all are from each country to register an ODI ton against England in England.
Ireland's victory followed the highest target (329 runs)  chased against England in England.
The 29-year-old batting all-rounder Paul Stirling's father Brian watched the match on TV.
Speaking exclusively over the telephone, he said, "I am delighted with our win, and that Paul did well. Any Irish team, in any sport, loves to do well against England".
Stirling's family does not count this as a "consolation win".
"We don't really see it as a consolation match. 1 win out of 3 against the World Champions is an achievement for us".
"A pity our best player is playing for the other team", he said in a jest. Obviously, he was hinting at Eoin Morgan, the England captain.
Paul is not in the IPL but father hopes he gets a chance in future. "Covid is terrible for the whole cricket world. Facing such a health crisis. We have no more international cricket this year. We would love to come to India for the 2023 World Cup and for a T-20 World Cup before that", he further added.
"Everyone here in Ireland sends very best wishes to our friends in India. We all hope the IPL goes well in UAE", he signed off.
