Army chief, IGP in Cox's Bazar

Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed on Wednesday reached  Cox’s Bazar to visit Shamlapur area where former Army officer Sinha Md Rashed Khan was killed.

They reached the tourist resort district around 1pm.

They are now holding meetings with senior army and police officers and senior officials of the administration.

Both army and police chiefs are scheduled to visit the spot at Shamlapur in Teknaf after the meeting.

Meanwhile, Major (retd) Sinha's sister Sharmin Shahriar filed a case with the court of Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farhar accusing nine persons.

Teknaf's Baharchhara Police Outpost's in-charge Liakat was made the main accused in the case.
