Woman killed as bus hits bike in Gopalganj

A woman was killed as a bus hit a motorcycle at Sadar upazila in Gopalganj district on Friday afternoon.

Deceased Mim, 22, was the wife of Rahim Sheikh, a resident of Kachua upazila in Bagerhat distrct.

Bhanga Highway Police Station sergeant Suman Chandra Sarkar said the bus hit the motorcycle carrying Mim and her husband at Gopinathpur Bus Stand area when they were going to village home on Eid vacation, leaving the duo injured.

The injured were rushed to Gopalganj General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries around 4pm.

Rahim was discharged from the hospital after he was given fast aid.
