Bangladesh reports 37 more virus deaths, 2,772 cases

The country's COVID-19 death hit to 2,965 on Monday as 37 more corona patients died in last 24 hours. 

Currently, the death rate is 1.31 per cent.

Of the dead, 26 were male while 11 were female and 33 died at different hospitals while four at home.

With 2,772 fresh cases, the total number of infection cases stood at 2,26,225.

The current infection rate is 21.56 per cent.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the figure at the daily health bulletin on Sunday afternoon. 

A total of 12,859 samples have been tested across the country in the past 24 hours.

During this time, some 1,801 more corona patients have recovered, raising the total recovery number to 1,25,683. 

The country's recovery rate is now 55.56 per cent.
