Thirty-eight more people have died of COVID-19 in last 24 hours, taking the country's total tally to 2,874.
At the same time, the cases reached 2,21,178 with 2,520 new positive cases after testing 10,446 samples, Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the figure at the daily health bulletin this afternoon.
Total 11,1,480 samples have been tested till this afternoon.
Of the deceased, 29 were male while nine were female.
Currently, the death rate is 1.30 per cent and the infection rate is 24.12 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, 1,114 more corona patients have recovered, raising the total recovery number to 1,22,090.
Some 1,709 more patients have been sent to quarantine.
A total of 364,011 people have completed their quarantine period.
