Ex-chief information commissioner Golam Rahman's wife dies of corona

Nayeem Ara, wife former chief information commissioner Professor Golam Rahman, died of COVID-19 at early Tuesday.

She breathed her last around 5:40am at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Bangladesh Specialised Hospital.

Golam Rahman, also the former teacher of Mass Comminication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University, confirmed the matter through his Facebook post.

Family members said Nayeem Ara has been infected with corona on May 29. Later, four others of the family, including Golam Rahman, have also been infected with the deadly virus.

She had been admitted to the ICU of the hospital on June 12 following deterioration of her health condition where she died at early hours.
