Ex-Minister Abul Kashem passes away

Former Youth and Sports Minister Abul Kashem passed away at early hours of Saturday at the age of 77.

He breathed his last at his Banani residence around 4:25am, BNP chairperson's press wing member Shamsuddin Didar confirmed.

Abul Kashem, also the sub-sector commander of the liberation war, left behind a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wisher to mourn his death.

He will be buried at his family graveyard in Sadar upazila of Cumilla after Asr prayers where a namaz-e-janza will be held.
