Jamuna Group Chairman Nurul Islam Babul passes away

Nurul Islam Babul, the chairman of the business conglomerate Jamuna Group, died of coronavirus at a city hospital on Monday afternoon (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He was 74.
His wife Jatiya Party lawmaker Salma Islam confirmed media about the matter.
Babul, also a freedom fighter, left behind his wife, one son, three daughters and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
The business magnate had been tested positive for the coronavirus on June 14. Since then he had been undergone treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
He will be buried at Banani Graveyard on Tuesday following a namaj-e-janaza at Jamuna Future Park Mosque after Zohr prayers.
Babul was also the owner of the Bangla daily Jugantor and Jamuna Television.
He had founded 41 industrial units under Jamuna Group where employments of hundreds of people were generated.
Jamuna Group deals with electronics, cloths, woven garments, chemicals, leather, beverage, motorcycle, toiletries, and construction sectors. Jamuna Future Park and Marriott Hotel are the part of the Jamuna Group.
