47 more coronavirus deaths reported in 24 hrs

Bangladesh on Sunday reported 47 more deaths from coronavirus and 2,666 cases in last 24 hours.
With the new figure, the total number of virus cases surged to 1,83,795 and fatalities to 2,352.
Meanwhile, another 5,580 corona patients made recovery during this timeline, taking the total number of recovery counts to 93,614.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the matter at its daily health bulletin.
Of the newly dead patients, 36 were men and 11 women where 23 were in Dhaka, six in Chattogram and Khulna each, four from Rajshahi and Sylhet each, two from Barishal and Rangpur districts each.
In the last 24 hours, 77 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 11,307 samples where 2,666 found positive.
Among the total deaths from COVID-19, 1860 were male and 492 female, said Dr Nasima.
The country reported its first virus case on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
