Body of school girl recovered in Cox’s Bazar

Police recovered the hanging body of a school girl in Ukhi upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday morning.

Deceased Sharmin Akter Tofa, 15, was the daughter of Ali Ahmed, a resident of in the upazila. She was a sixth grader at Inani Govt Primary School.

On information, a team of police, led by Ukhia Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Marjina Akter Marjur, recovered the hanging body of Sharmin from a tree in Shofir Bil area this morning and sent it to local hospital morgue.

Ahmed Ali said waking up from bed, they did not found Sharmin at home. Later, her body was found in a tree near house.
