The country's COVID-19 deaths reached 2,238 on Thursday as 41 more died of the virus infection in last 24 hours.
Of the dead, 38 died at different hospitals while three at their respective homes.
Meanwhile, 3,307 more people found positive for the deadly virus after testing 15,632 samples at 76 labs across the country, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed at the daily bulletin this afternoon.
Now, total confirmed infections surged to 175, 494.
The government fixed Tk 3,500 for corona tests at private hospitals and diagnostic centres. But it fixed Tk 1,000 as fees if the heath workers of the hospitals and diagnostic centres go patient's home to collect samples and total cost will be of Tk 4,500 for collecting and giving them reports, the DGHS informed.
Some 3,706 more corona patients recovered from the virus infection in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovery number to 84,544.
The death rate is 1.28 per cent and the current infection rate is 21.49 per cent.
Dr Nasima requested all to use masks outdoor and maintain health guidelines properly and do physical exercise at home.
