Barguna UP chairman dies from coronavirus

An union parishad (UP) chairman at Amtali upazila in Barguna district has died from coronavirus infection at BIRDEM General Hospital in Dhaka.

Arpangashia UP chairman AKM Nurul Huque Talukder,58, breathed his last on Saturday morning. 

He was admitted to Amtali Upazila Health Complex on June 24 with coronavirus-like symptoms.  
 
He was brought at BIRDEM General Hospital on June 25 and shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) as  his condition deteriorated.   

Meanwhile, he tested positive for the virus on June 27.

Later, he died at the ICU this morning while undergoing treatment.
Confirming the matter, Shankar Prasad Adhikari said he would buried at the family graveyard as per the government's burial guidelines.
