Jute Ministry's joint secretary dies of coronavirus

Khurshid Alam, joint secretary to the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, has died of COVID-19.

Alam breathed his last around 12:50am on Saturday at Labaid Hospital while undergoing treatment, according to a condolence message from the Officer's Club, Dhaka.

It also said the joint secretary was a member of the BCS 86th batch of administrative cadre.

In the condolence message, the club members prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family members.
