Ansars assault patient at Mugda Hospital, attack journo
A photo journalist came under attack at Mugda General Hospital on Friday when he tried to take photos of assault of a patient by the on-duty Ansar members.
They also damaged the camera of Rubel Rashid, photo journalist of Daily Desh Rupantor.
Rubel said some 40 persons today got tickets to test COVID-19 in the hospital.
But, after the test of 34 persons, the Ansar members told them virus test for today was completed, Rubel said adding that a man who was also waiting in the queue for the test had an altercation with them.
"At one stage, the Anser men slapped him. When Bangladesh Protidin photo journalist Joyita Roy tried to take a snap, they also came forward to assault her. But, she moved away from the scene." he said
"When I proceeded to take photo of the incident, the Anser men hit and broke my camera's filter. They also hurled abusive words to journalists and threatened to tied them up," added Rubel.
