The World Bank Group Selima Ahmad, also the president and founder of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) and the vice chairperson of Nitol-Niloy Group, for her lifelong mission to empower women and extra ordinary contribution to promoting women’s economic empowerment in Bangladesh, said a press release.
This news has been officially declared by the Head of Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative Secretariat on June 30.
From Bangladesh Selima has achieved this prestigious position while other honorable "Leadership Champions" are from Japan, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, USA, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Representative of Senior Management of World Bank Group.
The Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) is a groundbreaking partnership by World Bank Group that aims to unlock financing for women-led/owned businesses (WSMEs) in developing countries.
