Bangladesh drug firm invents Covid-19 vaccine, announcement Thursday

Globe Biotech Limited, a pharmaceutical company has claimed about the invention of coronavirus vaccine for the first time in Bangladesh.
Globe Biotech Limited authorities revealed the information of inventing Covid-19 vaccine through a press release sent to the media on Wednesday.
The company will hold a press briefing to announce the details of their vaccine invention at a press conference at 12:00noon on Thursday at the Globe Corporate Office at Tejgaon in Dhaka.
The press release reads that a total of 5,743 genome sequences have been submitted worldwide till June 30 according to the NCBI Virus Database. Of those, 76 have been submitted from Bangladesh. The Globe Biotech Limited fixed their target for vaccine invention through examining the sequences through bioinformatics tool, which is expected to be more effective in this geographical region.
The press release says that Globe Biotech Limited has been able to invent Covid-19 vaccine under the overall supervision of the company's CEO Dr Kakon Nag and COO Dr Nazneen Sultana.
Md Harunur Rashid, chairman of the Globe Biotech Limited, said, "We've been working to start clinical trial to identify the safety and effectiveness of this vaccine."
