Maternal health care stressed
Country reports 45 deaths, 4,014 cases in 24 hrs

The country reported 45 more deaths in last 24 hours till Monday afternoon, rising the toll to 1,783.
With recording 4,014 fresh cases during the period, the number stood at 141,801.
Of the deaths, 36 are male and nine female. the death rate is 1.27 percent.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the figure at the daily bulletin on Monday.
She informed that some 2,053 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours. With this, the total recovery number reached 57,780. The rate of recovery from the disease currently stands at 40.75 per cent.
Lying importance on maternal health care, Dr Nasima Sultana urged the family members to take good care of an expectant mother to keep her and newborn baby away from the virus.
"Still, there is no evidence that a foetus is infected during woman's pregnecy, but it can happen during delivery.So, all family members should take care of a pregnant woman," she urged.
She also advised the new mothers to wash hands and wearing masks before breastfeeding the the child.
