Manikganj police dies of COVID-19 in Dhaka hospital



One more Bangladesh Police member has died of novel coronavirus at Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday night.

Hailed from Faridpur, constable Md Atiar Rahman, worked at Manikganj police control room. 

He breathed his last around 10pm at the hospital while undergoing treatment.





On June 19, Atiar Rahman had been admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital with fever. Later, he was found positive for the deadly virus after report came on June 24 and shifted to the Dhaka hospital. 

He joined Bangladesh Police in 1984.

With the constable, the death toll rose to 39.
