Malaysian police have detained 13 Bangladeshis among 28 undocumented migrants from Kulim district of Malaysia.
Kulim district police superintendent Azhar Hashim said acting on secret information, police raided a house in Taman MBI Desaku Padang Serai area around 2:30am and detained them.
They were brought here for being trafficked and confined in the house, he added.
Of the detainees, seven from Pakistan, 13 from Bangladesh, and eight from India. They are aged between 21 and 44.
They have no legal documents, police said.
A person who guarded the illegal immigrants manged to flee.
The police super said, the detainees might have been brought from Kuala Lumpur and kept here for trafficking.
