Virus cases increasing in Laxmipur despite lockdown


The rate of coronavirus cases is increasing in Laxmipur, though the district administration placed some areas under lockdown marking redzone.

Some 11 more cases reported in the last 24 hours in the district, taking the total virus cases to 575.

District Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Ghaffar confirmed the matter on Sunday morning.

Among the total infected, 275 are in Sadar, 99 in Ramganj, 49 in Ramgati, 88 in Kamalnagar and the rest 64 in Raipur upazila.
Meanwhile, 271 people made recovery from the deadly virus with reporting 10 more recovery in last 24 hours.

So far, 54 people died with coronavirus symptoms in the district while 12 found positive for the virus.
