Coronavirus infected Dr Kader flown to Dhaka by helicopter


Dr Abdul Kader, senior consultant of the Orthopedics Department of Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Hospital in Khulna, was flown to Dhaka for better treatment for coronavirus infection.

Dr Kader was taken to Evercare Hospital (former Apollo Hospitals) in the capital by a helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said in a release.

Earlier, he had been undergoing treatment at a cornavirus dedicated hospital at Boyra in Khulna. As his condition deteriorated, it was decided to shift him to Dhaka on emergency basis for better treatment.

Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation assistance in aid to civil power under Bangladesh Armed Forces.

In line with this, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat provided the necessary guidance to carry out the medical evacuation mission.
