RU teacher held for 'derogatory' comments against Nasim
Police have arrested Rajshahi University (RU) teacher Kazi Jahidur Rahman in a case filed under the Digital Security Act for making a derogatory comment about late former Health Minister Mohammed Nasim on her facebook wall.
Jahidur Rahman, assistant Prof of Computer Science and Engineering Department of the university, was arrested from his house at early hours of Thursday.
Motihar Police Station duty officer ASI Asaduzzaman confirmed thematter this morning.
He was shown arrested on the following case, the police officer said.
Jahidur posted some writings on corruption of Health sector on his facebook wall against Awami League leader and former minister Nasim after he had fall sick.
Earlier on June 20, police have arrested Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) teacher Sirajum Monira in the same case.
