Faults in Gonoshasthaya kit, BSMMU asked to postpone test
The effectiveness test of Rapid Dot Blot kits, developed by Gonoshasthaya Kendra for testing coronavirus, is being conducted at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

The kit has two parts- Antigen and Antibody.

Gonoshasthaya Kendra on Tuesday sent a letter to the BSMMU authorities to postponed the test of Antigen part as its results are not coming to the desired level.

Gonoshasthaya Kendra's PRO M Farhad confirmed media about the matter on Wednesday.

"Results for Antigen tests are not coming correctly because of  some inconsistency in collecting sample of saliva for COVID-19 tests. The monitoring team found absence of required quantum of swab most of the time or mixed with other object. Works to way out of the problem have began in the laboratory," he said.
