Nagorik Oikya convener Manna calls on Khaleda Zia

Nagorik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna has called on BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Manna entered Khaleda Zia's 'Firoza' residence at Gulshan in Dhaka at about 8:00pm on Tuesday. He stayed there about an hour. Later, he left Khaleda's residence at 9:00pm.
It is learnt that Manna enquired about Khaleda Zia's physical condition. Besides, he sought her early recovery.
Asked how he saw the BNP Chairperson's physical condition, Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, "It's couldn't be understood. However, her physical condition is not so good. She can't properly move her left hand. Same condition also persists in her right hand. She can't stand on her own feet properly. She can't eat properly. She told me that she just ate vermicelli once in the day."
"I have enquired about her physical condition and sought her early recovery," he said.
Asked whether they talked about politics, Manna said, "No. We didn't discuss about politics. We just exchanged Eid greetings and didn't say anything else except her physical condition."
Begum Khaleda Zia was released on March 25 last on conditions. She left Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital and went directly to her Gulshan residence 'Firoza' from there. After completing 14 days of quarantine, she started living in home quarantine again according to the advice of her physicians. She also underwent treatment at home. During that time, none except her medical team and family members met her.
Later on May 11, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called on Khaleda Zia. On the following day, Khaleda Zia's special assistant Shimul Biswas called on her.
Meanwhile, BNP standing committee members called on Khaleda Zia on Monday and exchanged Eid greetings with her.
