Super cyclone 'Amphan' battered the coastal Koyra upazila of Khulna district. Four unions in the upazilas were submerged as the cyclone damaged 23 dams, leaving not a single inch land dry.
Under this circumstances, people offered Eid prayer standing in knee-deep water.
Local sources said 80 percent area in the upazila went under water. Over a stretch of 40 kilometer area of the 121-km cross dam have been damaged.

Hundreds of people voluntarily joined the renovation works on the damaged embankment on the Eid day and offered the Eid prayer on the damaged embankment of the Koyra River at about 10:30am.
Former upazila chairman Mawlana AKM Tamijuddin conducted the Eid congregation.
