Bangladesh hits 1,975 highest COVID-19 cases


Bangladesh recorded 1,975 coronavirus cases on Monday, the highest number in a single day.

Meanwhile, the death toll crossed 500 as 21 more died from the virus infection during this period. 





Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana disclosed the figure at its regular online briefing this afternoon.

The total number of infected cases reached to 35,585. A total of 9,451 samples were tested across the country during this period, Dr Nasima said.

More 433 patients have recovered from the virus infections in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovery cases to 7,334.
