Bhola workers barred from going worplaces

A large number of people in Bhola, who work different organisations outside the district, can not leave to join their workplaces because of vigilance by the law enforcers and the administration.

Hundreds of people everyday gather at the ferryghat to go to Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur and Chattogram, but, they have to retunred home eventually being obstructed by the
members of Coastguards and police.

Waterway is the only way of communication from Bhola to other part of the country.  

As river vessel movement remained suspended, the workers have opted ferry for their movement.

But, they obstructed to avail the vessel because of the administrative order.

Bhola DC M Masud Alam Siddique said passengers transportaion by ferry has been suspended due to government order.

"A mobile court of the administration is monitoring the situation round the clock. Ferrying people will be allowed once the government order comes," he added.
