Two more members of parliament (MPs) have been sent to home quarantine after the ruling Awami League MP from Naogaon-2 constituency (Dhamoirhat and Patnitala) Shahiduzzaman Sarker tested coronavirus positive.
Israfil Alam from Naogaon-6 constituency and Mohd. Salim Uddin Tarafder from Naogaon-3 have gone to home quarantine since Shahiduzzaman Sarker MP tested positive.
Besides, Naogaon District Awami League president Abdul Malek, Deputy Commissioner Harun-ar-Rashid, Police Super Engineer Abdul Mannan and Civil Surgeon Dr AM Akhtaruzzaman have been asked to stay at home quarantine.
Naogaon district health department sources said the UNOs, other officials, public representatives and political leaders of Dhamoirhat and Patnitala upazilas under the Naogaon-2 constituency of coronavirus infected MP Shahiduzzaman Sarker have been asked to stay at home quarantine.
Naogaon district civil surgeon Dr AM Akhtaruzzaman said Shahiduzzaman Sarker MP of Naogaon-2 constituency was present at the Naogaon DC's conference room during the Prime Minister's video conference on April 27 last.
Two more MPs of Naogaon district, Naogaon District AL President, Deputy Commissioner, Police Super and Civil Surgeon are now in home quarantine.
He said the blood samples of the leaders and workers of his constituency will be collected and sent for examination.
