A woman with coronavirus like symptoms died in isolation ward of a hospital in Pirojpur district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sandhya Halder, a resident of Mutktarkhati village in the municipality.
Pirojpur District Hospital resident medical officer Dr Md Nizamuddin confirmed the matter.
The patient with fever and respiratory problems admitted to the hospital on Thursday morning and shifted to the isolation ward on suspension of corona infection, said the physician.
Hospital authorities collected sample from the woman and sent it to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for tests.
