Amar Foods, Esho Sobai take steps to combat Covid-19 food crisis

Amar Foods in collaboration with Esho Sobai started the essential food package distribution campaign among people in their production areas amid the coronavirus outbreak.

They plan to distribute almost 8,000 food packages door-to-door to the extreme poor and daily wage earners who have been without work since the government imposed a country-wide "general holiday,” said a press release.

The essential food package contains rice, lentil, edible oil, salt, flour, sugar, potatoes etc. Amar Foods plan to support more than 200 teachers family by providing monthly groceries.
Meanwhile, Watermark Group, the mother company of Amar Foods launched monthly ration for all its employees during this sensitive period.
Also, it is working to building awareness on frequent hand-washing, maintaining physical distance in public places.

They took the much-needed responsibility of delivering support to the people who need it most and will continue its effort to make people safe and resilient during the pandemic.
