 Housing to be ensured for homeless after making list: Obaidul Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that housing would have to be ensured for the floating people after making their list. "Lists will be prepared for homeless to ensure their housing. Later, relief materials will have to be reached to them as per directives given by the Prime Minister," said Obaidul. The AL's sub-committee on relief distributed relief through its representatives at the party's Dhanmondi office on Thursday. Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, joined the programme through video conferencing. He also said that garments factories around Dhaka have reopened on a limited scale in fear of losing international market. Owners have been asked to engage workers who stay in Dhaka, he added. The minister asked all to tackle the virus situation with courage and patience under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. LY |
