In an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the district, the local administration put Sunamganj under lockdown from Sunday.

Sunamganj's Deputy Commissioner Abdul Ahad made the announcement on Sunday afternoon, reports UNB.
No-one will be allowed to enter or leave the district during the lockdown, he said.

However, all emergency services will remain out of the purview of the restrictions, the DC said.

Besides, four more people died from the disease in the last 24 hours which has raised the total death toll to 34.
