The global coronavirus pandemic death toll has reached 96,373 at 3:20pm [09:20 GMT] on Friday
 
There have been 16,10,119 confirmed cases in 210 countries and territories around the world after the highly contagious disease was first reported in China in December last, according to worldometer.
 
Of those infected, 11,55,342 are currently being treated with 49,117 being in serious or critical condition.
 
So far, 358,627 people have recovered.
 
The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
 
Bangladesh reported 27 deaths from the virus infection and 424 confirmed cases as of 3:00pm on Friday.
