US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo has greeted Bangladesh and its people on the occasion of Independence Day that falls on Mach 26.

"On behalf of the Government of the United States and the American people, I send my best wishes to the people of Bangladesh on your Independence Day on March 26 as you commemorate the centennial of the birth of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, “Father of the Nation,” ahead of your 2021 Golden Jubilee," he said in a message on Wednesday, reports UNB.

Pompeo said they stand with their friend and partner Bangladesh as it confronts challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
