A mobile court at Bheramara upazila in Kushtia district on Wednesday fined a Middle-East returnee Tk 5,000 for breaking home quarantine rules amid novel coronavirus outbreak.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sohel Maruf passed the order.
The UNO said the man returned to the country from the Middle East last week. He went to a local bank breaching the 14 days’ home quarantine rules.
On information, he was detained and fined the amount while also forced to quarantine.
